D.Bace

  Hangul:  디베이스 D.Bace was a group created by  이현도 (Lee Hyun Do), who were prominent in the early 2000s. They were active from 2001-2012. The original line up consisted of a trio; 진원 (Jinwon), 오수안/수안 (Oh Su Ahn/Su Ahn) and 김환호/환호 (Kim Hwan Ho/Hwan Ho). Although, due to internal conflicts, Jinwon left and Lee Hyun Do added new member  제드 (Jed), who was featured on Hyun Do's third album using the alias "D-Base". Afterwards,  송지훈/ 지훈 (Song Ji Hoon/Ji Hoon) and  남현준 (Nam Hyun Joon) were added to the group. In April of 2001, D.Bace made their debut. Much of their music was a mix of R&B, and hip hop at the height of their career, but changed to more of a dance-pop/EDM type sound once some of the band members left. D.Bace Vol.1 (2001) Their first album D.Bace Vol.1 was released on May 3, 2001. The single for the album; 모든것을 너에게 (Everything About You) was written by Lee Hyun Do. It ranked in the top 15-30th on the Kpop charts. The other single was 원 (One). Label: Yedang Enter

Team

  Hangul:  팀 Team was a short-lived boy band group from the late 1990s. The group consisted of founder of the group,  양창익 (Yang Chang Ik), who now goes by stage name  윤건 (Yoongun).     창진 (Changjin) who is popularly known as  MC창진 (MC Changjin).  낙타 (Nakta) and  카리 (Kaari). They were a mix of being an idol band and a hip-hop band. Teamplay (1999) Their debut and only album Teamplay, was released in July of 1999. They are mostly known for their song  별(別) (Byul). Label:  락레코드 Sold On: CD Genre: Pop, Hip Hop Style: Kpop After the release of Teamplay, 2 members and eventually one more member left the group. Towards the end of 2000, Yang Chang Ik ditched the name Team, and made the now well-known R&B duo Brown Eyes with  나얼 (Naul). As for the other members, Nakta who now goes by the stage name  강태강 (Kang Tae Kang) and is a traditional trot singer.     Hangul:  투야 Toya was a girl trio from the early 2000s. They were formed in 1999 by 백기획 (Baek Ki Chuk) an independent entertainment business owner (and who has worked with other famous celebrities such as actress 이영애 (Lee Young Ae)). The group consisted of  김지혜 (Kim Ji Hye) who was a child model for magazines and was also known for her appearance in boy band 스키스 (SECHSKIES)' 1998 film, SEVENTEEN as member Kang Sung Hoon's girlfriend. The other 2 members were  안진경  (Ahn Jin Kyoung) and  류은주 (Ryu Eun Joo) who was also a magazine model that worked in Japan.  Prior to their debut there was an another member  김현지 (Kim Hyun Ji), but quickly backed out due to academic reasons and was replaced by Eun Joo.  They were signed to Baek Ki Chuck's label Astars Entertainment.  They first debuted in Japan in 2000.        Hangul: 더 에스 The S was a short-lived female duo from the 2000s. The duo consisted of  김근영 (Kim Geun Young) an upcoming performer and 이윤미 (Lee Yoon Mi) who was an unknown at the time TV actress working for KBS. The "S" in their name apparently means "sexy" The First Album (2003) The First Album, was their only album released on July 2003. A single for In Side was going to be released but got shelved away. Unknown Label Sold On: CD Genre: Pop Style: Kpop In August 2003, a clothing malfunction occurred when The S performed at  Gyeongpodae Beach in Gangneung for KMTV < 쇼!뮤직탱크>. Lee Yoon Mi's chest accidentally exposed to about 20,000 spectators when her top which was strapless, fell down while performing on stage. The broadcast thankfully was not live and KMTV edited out all of The S' performances. Hangul:  디바 Diva was girl group from the late 1990s to the mid 2000s. When they first debuted, the group was a trio consisting of  비키 (Vicky) who lived in Los Angeles. 지니 (Ji Ni) from New York City, and  채리나 (Chae Ri-Na) who prior to the forming was in the group  룰라 (Roo'Ra) and who was almost about to go solo in her career at the time. Much of their music was Kpop and Hip-Hop (with Vicky being the rapper of the group).  However, their music especially at the height of their career also consisted of dance-pop which was the signature sound for Kpop during that time. Funky Diva (1997) Their 1st album was released on August 29, 1997. 2 singles were also released from the album:  그래  which peaked at #5 on South Korean charts and The Drama of December.
