D.Bace

D.Bace was a group created by 이현도 (Lee Hyun Do), who were prominent in the early 2000s. They were active from 2001-2012. The original line up consisted of a trio; 진원 (Jinwon), 오수안/수안 (Oh Su Ahn/Su Ahn) and 김환호/환호 (Kim Hwan Ho/Hwan Ho). Although, due to internal conflicts, Jinwon left and Lee Hyun Do added new member 제드 (Jed), who was featured on Hyun Do's third album using the alias "D-Base". Afterwards, 송지훈/지훈 (Song Ji Hoon/Ji Hoon) and 남현준 (Nam Hyun Joon) were added to the group. In April of 2001, D.Bace made their debut. Much of their music was a mix of R&B, and hip hop at the height of their career, but changed to more of a dance-pop/EDM type sound once some of the band members left.

D.Bace Vol.1 (2001)

Their first album D.Bace Vol.1 was released on May 3, 2001. The single for the album; 모든것을 너에게 (Everything About You) was written by Lee Hyun Do. It ranked in the top 15-30th on the Kpop charts. The other single was 원 (One).

The Return (2003)

D.Bace took a temporary hiatus and then returned with their final album The Return which was released on August 14, 2003. The singles Go and the album named song, 연인 (The Return) did not make the charts.

At around this time, Su Ahn, Nam Hyun Joon, and Jed departed from the group to work on their solo careers in acting and music. D.Bace reduced down to a duo of Hwan Ho and Ji Hoon. However, Jed returned to the group in 2010.

They went on to produce 3 more singles in which all were flops.

Season 2 (2008)

The single consisted of songs Somebody featuring Psy. Only U featuring 시기 (Shigi) and a remix version of 모든 것을 너에게 (Everything About You) which featured Hoody. It was released on February 4, 2008.

Season III (2010)

Season III composed of songs Everything and Actually featuring 이지혜 (Lee Ji Hye). It released on September 10, 2010.

Yo DJ (2012)

Their last and final single was Yo DJ which featured 이하늘 (Lee Ha Neul) from DJ DOC. It released on Mp3 sites on August 14, 2012.

After Yo DJ, D.Bace faded into obscurity. However, they did make a comeback on talk show 슈가송2 (Sugaman 2). 

Ji Hoon is still in the music industry and formed a production team called Dumb & Dumber with 강진우 who was in the band Bounce (바운스). He also to does composing work for other artists. It is unknown what the other members are doing as of this post.
