Hangul: 디바
Diva was girl group from the late 1990s to the mid 2000s. When they first debuted, the group was a trio consisting of 비키 (Vicky) who lived in Los Angeles. 지니 (Ji Ni) from New York City, and 채리나 (Chae Ri-Na) who prior to the forming was in the group 룰라 (Roo'Ra) and who was almost about to go solo in her career at the time. Much of their music was Kpop and Hip-Hop (with Vicky being the rapper of the group). However, their music especially at the height of their career also consisted of dance-pop which was the signature sound for Kpop during that time.
Their 1st album was released on August 29, 1997. 2 singles were also released from the album: 그래 which peaked at #5 on South Korean charts and The Drama of December. The album sold more 270,000 copies.

Snappy Diva's Second Album (1998)
Snappy Diva's Second Album (also known as Snappy Diva) was released on April 20, 1998. 2 singles were released from the album: 왜불러 which peaked at #1 on South Korean charts and Joy. More than 240,000 copies were sold of the album. 왜불러 was reprised in 2016 by fictional girl group C.I.V.A. which was a parody of Diva in the mockumentary 음악의 신 2 (God of Music 2), starring 이상민 (Lee Sang min)

Millennium (1999)
Their 3rd album Millennium was released on July 8, 1999. 2 singles were released from the album: 고리 (Yo Yo) which peaked #3 on South Korean charts and 느껴봐. More than 100,000 copies of Millennium were sold. The album was also released in Taiwan.

Dream was a promo album released in Taiwan in February of 1999. The whole album was sung in English. A single from the promo I'll Get Your Love was released and was also popular in Taiwan. After the promotions in Taiwan, Ji Ni left the group and was replaced by 이민경 (Lee Min Kyoung).

Their fourth album Naughty Diva was released on November 8, 2000. 2 singles Up & Down and 이 겨울에 (In This Winter) were released from the album. About 112,788 copies were sold. It was during this time that Chae Ri Na left the group and Ji Ni came back to replace her.

딱이야! (2001)
Their 5th album 딱이야! (Perfect!) was released on August 16, 2001. Their 5th album was their starting point of going downhill in popularity. Possibly due to the departure of Chae Ri Na who was more popular than any of the other group members and who was already popular prior to the formation of the group. The album sold about 69, 069 copies alone. 2 singles: 딱이야! which was #6 on South Korean charts and D.V.D. (Let's Get Together) were released.

In 2003, Diva released their first and only compilation called Best. It only sold about 20,000 copies.
Renaissance (2004)
Their 7th album Renaissance was released on January 8, 2004. It was a flop and only sold about 17,797 copies. Singles: Hey Boy which peaked at #11 on South Korean charts and Amoremio were the 2 released from the album.

Only Diva (2005)
Their final album Only Diva was released on August 12, 2005. The album sold only 20,000 copies. The singles from the album were 웃어요 (Smile) and My Style. The 웃어요 music video was filmed in China, which gained them a small amount of recognition towards the end.

In 2005, Diva officially disbanded. All members went their separate ways focusing on their own careers. There was almost going to be a comeback of them on a 9th album but that became shelved. Lee Min Kyoung went solo and released her first solo album in 2012. Vicky has retired from the music industry has a husband whom she married in 2009. Ji Ni went on to be a designer under her real name.
In 1997, they won the Popularity Award at the Golden Disc Awards. In 2001 and 2005 they were nominated Best Female Group, and in 2004 for Best Female Group Video.
