Rare and Obscure Kpop Music

  Hangul:  스페이스에이 Space A was a mixed gender techno, dance group from the late 1990s and early 2000s. They debuted in 1997 and faded into obscurity in 2003. They reunited in 2013 briefly, however. They were a trio at first. The original members consisted of Kim Hyun Jung (김현정) as main vocalist, rapper Jung Soon Won (정순원) who is well known as The One (더원) and E-gu (이구). Space A (1997) Their self-titled debut album was released in October of 1997. The album is considered to be the first enhanced CD in Korea to play a music video on a computer. There were 3 singles to the album: 입술, which was the music video featured on the album. 주홍글씨 and 돈쥬앙. Kang Ji Yeon (강지연) became a temporary addition into the group. They rereleased the album in 1998 in order to include her vocals only for the single, 주홍글씨. However, the music video only featured the original trio.   Hangul:  태사자 or  太四子 Taesaja was a boy idol group that was prominent in the late 1990s. Their name stems from a Chinese video game character in the well-known Japanese video game series Romance of the Three Kingdoms. They officially debuted on October 20, 1997 and were first signed to Masscom. Ultimately, they disbanded in 2001. Taesaja was originally created to be a rival against another boy idol group NRG. Especially due to the fact that both groups debuted 8 days between each other. In addition, they were also apparently going to be a mixed gender group but changed to be an all-boy group. Taesaja, was seen as unique from the other boy idol groups at the time due to them mostly wearing suits and ties instead of hip-hop street wear which many boy bands aimed at in the 1990s and early 2000s. Hangul:  디바 Diva was girl group from the late 1990s to the mid 2000s. When they first debuted, the group was a trio consisting of  비키 (Vicky) who lived in Los Angeles. 지니 (Ji Ni) from New York City, and  채리나 (Chae Ri-Na) who prior to the forming was in the group  룰라 (Roo'Ra) and who was almost about to go solo in her career at the time. Much of their music was Kpop and Hip-Hop (with Vicky being the rapper of the group).  However, their music especially at the height of their career also consisted of dance-pop which was the signature sound for Kpop during that time. Funky Diva (1997) Their 1st album was released on August 29, 1997. 2 singles were also released from the album:  그래  which peaked at #5 on South Korean charts and The Drama of December.
