See U

Hangul: 씨유

See U was a short-lived Kpop girl trio from the late 1990s and early 2000s. The trio consisted of members Jinee (지니), Jihye (지혜) and Soojin (수진), who was the maknae of the group. Soojin's father was the CEO of Donga Corporation, which was their record label. In addition, See U would be the last girl group that Donga would create until the company was acquired by Hana Music in the early 2000s. The trio debuted in July of 1999 until their disbandment in 2000. However, their fan base was still active after their disbandment but started to wither out 4 years later.

Love Story Vol. 1 (1999)

Their first and only album to date was Love Story Vol. 1 was released on June 1, 1999. The album was somewhat successful in sales. The two singles released from the album: Love Story and 친구에서 연인으로.

Unlike their more well-known competitors such as Baby V.O.X., Fin K.L. and S.E.S., See U did not gain a lot of attention or popularity and officially disbanded in 2000.

After their disbandment, each member had their own solo careers. Jinee went on hiatus for 14 years until releasing her gospel EP in 2014 called Love Story With Jesus Vol.1 주님은 아시죠 and is still making music as digital singles. Soojin also went on hiatus for 16 years until releasing her 2016 digital single Pet Song, under the alias Jane in J. She is still currently making music using the alias Jane in J and makes children's songs. Jihye sang songs in SBS K-drama O.S.T.s throughout the 2000s and released an EP in 2010. Since then, Jihye has been inactive.
